Laban L. B. Chang obtained his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1978. He has practiced
law for over twenty years and is a partner in the law firm of Kuniyuki & Chang. His primary area of practice is in civil litigation, including contract and commercial litigation, real estate and landlord-tenant disputes, representing plaintiffs in personal injury claims, and construction disputes and claims. In his civil litigation practice, he has resolved claims through litigation, arbitration, mediation and settlement negotiations.
He has also served as an arbitrator in the Hawaii Court Annexed Arbitration program. He also represents condominium and cooperative associations, drafting governing documents and rules, handling collection and enforcement actions and advising association boards and property management agents. He has extensive practice in drafting real estate documents including deeds, leases,
assignments of leases, agreements of sale, mortgages and sales contracts. He also advises buyers and sellers of businesses, including the drafting of documents for the sale or purchase of business assets and corporate stock. E-Mail Laban
