Judiciary Building

The Judiciary building has housed Hawaii’s courts since the days of the monarchy. I’ve tried many cases here but I wasn’t around during the monarchy period. The Hawaiian name of this building is Ali’iolani Hale.

Ewa side of the Judiciary building.  Ewa is generally “West” if you are in Honolulu. “Ewa” is a place, so the  “Ewa” direction is relative to where you happen to be.
